Pyranometer
The Tesup Irradiance Sensor is part of TESUP’s professional sensor range, designed for accurate environmental data collection in small-scale renewable energy systems. This photovoltaic pyranometer, based on a reference cell, is ideal for residential rooftops and compact solar power setups—especially when paired with wind turbines.
It measures solar irradiance in watts per square meter (W/m²), enabling precise calculation of the performance ratio (PR) of PV systems. The design is focused on cost-effectiveness and simplicity, ensuring dependable data without unnecessary complexity.
The measuring range is from 0 to 1600 W/m². Each unit is tested under real sunlight using a reference cell certified by the Fraunhofer ISE Institute in Germany. Data is transmitted via a digital RS485 interface using the MODBUS RTU protocol, and the unit requires a 5V DC power supply. It integrates seamlessly with the Tesup Atlas Wind Turbine and the Tesup Wizard, making it suitable for rooftop PV systems, hybrid solar-wind configurations, and off-grid installations.
The device dimensions are 118 x 84 x 55 mm, and it weighs just 0.2 kg. Installation is straightforward, and system integration is fast and reliable.
Track your energy generation smartly and efficiently with the Tesup Irradiance Sensor—designed to meet the everyday needs of South Africa’s growing solar energy users.
