The motor that turns inside every TESUP Atlas and Magnum is now sold on its own, as the TESUP Industrial Permanent Magnet Motor / Generator.
It is a 3-phase permanent magnet machine rated at 15 kW continuous and 22 kW peak. In our turbines it works as a generator, turning wind into electricity. With a driver, it runs as a motor.
Tested before it ships

Every TESUP generator is tested before it ships. On the bench, each one is wired to a TESUP charge controller through its three phase wires, and it carries a label with its own serial number and QR code.
Inside the Atlas and the Magnum

The Atlas, our vertical turbine, reaches about 4.5 kW at 500 RPM in a 35 m/s wind. The Magnum, our horizontal turbine, reaches about 12 kW at 1,200 RPM in a 22 m/s wind. Both stay inside the motor's 15 kW continuous rating, so it rarely has to work hard.
How it is built
- Stator: 12 poles, 36 slots, 3-phase distributed winding, laid out for low cogging and a smooth sine-wave output.
- Magnets: 24 N42 neodymium magnets, mounted skewed to cut cogging torque by about 80%.
- Copper: 4 kg in total, Class 200 °C enamelled wire, wound in two parallel strands to share the current and the heat.
- Core: 240 laminated silicon-steel sheets, 0.5 mm each, to keep eddy-current losses low.
- In numbers: about 95% efficient at rated load, up to 2,000 RPM, turns in both directions, 20 kg.
It cuts in at about 50 RPM and gives around 1 kW at 200 RPM, a typical Atlas speed in light wind.
Sold on its own

Outside our turbines, the same motor suits electric vehicles and conversion kits, industrial machinery, marine propulsion, robotics, off-grid hybrid systems and micro-hydro.
One thing to know: as a motor it needs a compatible driver or controller for speed and current control. Running it without one can cause overheating and damage.
