TESUP Industrial Permanent Magnet Generator — 15 kW continuous, 22 kW peak. The same premium motor powering our award-winning Magnum horizontal and Atlas vertical wind turbines — now available standalone for electric vehicles, industrial machinery, marine, robotics, and off-grid power systems.

Power & Performance

  • Continuous rating: 15 kW (sustained indefinitely)
  • Peak rating: 22 kW (short-term overload)
  • Type: 12-pole stator (24-magnet rotor), 3-phase permanent magnet generator
  • Max RPM: 2,000
  • Direction: Bidirectional (CW + CCW)
  • Efficiency: ~95% at rated load
  • Weight: 20 kg

Industrial-Grade Engineering

  • 12-pole, 36-slot, 3-phase distributed stator winding — fractional-slot configuration for minimal cogging torque and sinusoidal voltage output
  • 90 wires per stator slot — 2 parallel strands × 45 turns of 0.70 mm Class 200°C enameled copper (IEC 60317-13 GR 2), the insulation grade used in industrial servomotors and EV traction motors, CE / UL certified
  • Parallel-strand bundling doubles current capacity and distributes heat — motor runs cold even at sustained full load
  • 4 kg of pure copper total winding mass — exceptional thermal reservoir
  • 24-magnet rotor with NdFeB N42 super magnets (60×25×5 mm bread-shape, nickel-coated), 180 cm³ total magnet volume
  • Skewed magnet mounting — minimizes cogging torque by ~80%, smoother torque curve, longer bearing life
  • Silicon-steel laminated stator core — 240 individual 0.5 mm electrical-steel sheets stacked to 12 cm total height, ~16 cm outer diameter. Transformer/motor-grade construction that minimises eddy current losses
  • ±0.05 mm precision tolerances across all machined components
  • EMC compliance: EN 61000-6-3 (emissions and immunity)

Why 15 kW continuous and 22 kW peak?

The 15 kW continuous rating is what the motor sustains indefinitely without overheating — set by Class 200°C wire insulation, 4 kg copper for heat absorption, parallel-strand bundling that doubles current capacity, and passive housing cooling. The 22 kW peak rating is short-term overload for transients, limited by N42 magnet demagnetization threshold and stator iron saturation. Running at partial load means almost no copper losses (square of current), no measurable temperature rise, and service life exceeding 30 years.

Applications

  • Vertical & horizontal wind turbines (Magnum / Atlas bodies)
  • Electric vehicles (cars, e-bikes, scooters, conversion kits)
  • Industrial machinery and automation
  • Marine propulsion and onboard generation
  • Robotics and servo systems
  • Off-grid hybrid power systems
  • Hydroelectric micro-generation

⚠️ Driver/controller required. This motor requires a compatible driver/controller for proper speed and current control. Operating without one may cause excessive current draw, overheating, and damage. Due to its permanent magnet rotor, the motor can stop instantly when commanded by the driver — ideal for EV, industrial machinery, and automation applications.

TESUP Industrial Motor / Generator — Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers on ratings, uses and build quality.

It is the same premium permanent-magnet machine that powers the award-winning Magnum and Atlas wind turbines, now available standalone. Rated at 15 kW continuous and 22 kW peak, it works as both a motor and a generator for projects beyond wind power.

It is a 24-pole, 3-phase permanent-magnet generator with NdFeB N42 magnets, a maximum of 2,000 RPM, bidirectional rotation and around 92% efficiency at rated load. The 15 kW continuous rating can be sustained indefinitely, with 22 kW available for short-term peaks.

Its industrial build suits electric vehicles, industrial machinery, marine propulsion, robotics and off-grid power systems, as well as custom wind and hydro projects — anywhere a robust, efficient permanent-magnet machine is needed.

Yes. It is bidirectional and runs clockwise or counter-clockwise, so it can drive a load as a motor or produce electricity as a generator, depending on your application.

It is industrial-grade and heavily over-rated for typical loads — in the turbines it runs far below its limit, which is why those products are designed for decades of service. The same engineering applies when you use it standalone.

Yes. TESUP designs and manufactures its own wind turbines, solar products and accessories in its own factories, and delivers worldwide from local warehouses across many regions. The photos below are real, recent images from our factories and dispatch areas, published by our team as the work is done — so you can see products being built, boxed and prepared for shipping.
