Pyranometer
The Tesup Irradiance Sensor is part of TESUP’s professional sensor range, developed for intelligent environmental data collection in small-scale renewable energy systems. This PV pyranometer, based on a photovoltaic reference cell, is specifically designed for residential rooftops and compact solar installations—especially when used alongside wind turbines.
It measures solar irradiance in watts per square metre (W/m²), enabling accurate calculation of the performance ratio (PR) of PV systems. The design focuses on simplicity and affordability, avoiding unnecessary complexity while ensuring dependable measurement accuracy.
The measuring range is from 0 to 1600 W/m². Each unit is tested in natural sunlight using a reference cell certified by the Fraunhofer ISE Institute in Germany. Data is transmitted via a digital RS485 interface using the MODBUS RTU protocol, and the sensor operates with a 5V DC power supply. It is fully compatible with the Tesup Atlas Wind Turbine and Tesup Wizard, making it ideal for rooftop solar, hybrid PV-wind systems, and off-grid applications.
The unit measures 118 x 84 x 55 mm and weighs only 0.2 kg. Installation is quick and straightforward, and integration with Tesup systems is seamless.
Monitor your energy production with confidence using the Tesup Irradiance Sensor – purpose-built for small-scale solar setups.
