Pyranometer
The Tesup Irradiance Sensor is part of TESUP’s professional-grade sensor range, developed for accurate environmental data collection in small-scale renewable energy systems. This photovoltaic pyranometer, based on a reference cell, is ideal for rooftop solar systems and compact installations—especially when used in tandem with wind turbines.
It measures solar irradiance in watts per square metre (W/m²), allowing for precise calculation of the performance ratio (PR) of photovoltaic systems. Designed with simplicity and affordability in mind, it avoids unnecessary complexity while delivering reliable performance.
The sensor features a measuring range of 0 to 1600 W/m². Each unit is tested in natural sunlight using a reference cell certified by the Fraunhofer ISE Institute in Germany. Data is transmitted via a digital RS485 interface using the MODBUS RTU protocol, and the device requires a 5V DC power supply. It integrates seamlessly with the Tesup Atlas Wind Turbine and Tesup Wizard, making it perfect for rooftop PV setups, hybrid solar-wind systems, and off-grid applications.
Compact and lightweight, the device measures 118 x 84 x 55 mm and weighs only 0.2 kg. Installation is quick and easy, with full compatibility across Tesup systems.
Monitor your energy generation with confidence using the Tesup Irradiance Sensor—purpose-built for the demands of small-scale solar systems across Australia’s diverse climates.
